Chattanooga Aquarium

We took a weekend trip to Chattanooga to visit friends and take the kids to the Aquarium.  They had a great time!

Life on the farm...

It starts to get fun this time of year on the farm. We have a new baby, who the boys call Cupcake. The mom literally had the calf and then left it and wanted nothing to do with it. Great mom, huh? Guess they can come in all shapes and sizes! The boys, however, have enjoyed getting to bottle feed her. I still remember growing up watching Papa bottle feed baby goats, calves, hatching eggs in an incubator, etc. As much as I miss Signal Mountain, I am very thankful that my boys get to grow up with these experiences.

First Time Bowling!

The boys have really been enjoying playing a bowling game on Daddy's computer.  So we decided to take them to experience the real thing.  We did try letting them throw the balls first....but that was a big fail! =)  They loved it and were so excited watching to see how many pins they knocked down.

(Lol....yes, you can hear me getting on to Baker while Caleb was bowling.  He was climbing on the machine that holds the bowling balls.  Needless to say....it was a little chaotic...but fun!!!)

And we finish off with some nachos!  BAKER beat us all!  That's pretty sad!!!

Joyful January

YouTube Video

Sorry it has been a while since posting. Honestly, there hasn't been a lot to post. Back in December a friend of mine told me about a "month of no." In other words, other than family time, church, and school you say no to doing anything else. Even though we didn't intentionally follow this plan, we sort of naturally fell into the groove of just saying no. Last year was one of the toughest, busiest years of our lives. I think deep down we just needed a break....to focus on living better...loving better. I can honestly say that this month hasn't been filled with a lot of activity, but it has been filled with plenty of laughter, silliness, hugs, and lots of love. I am very thankful for my family. At times the road wasn't always easy, but it has taught me to fight harder, to love deeper, and be grateful in ways I had never even come close to before! To say the least....it's been a joyful beginning to 2012!
