Boys will be boys!

Just a typical evening in our home! I was cooking dinner and this is what the boys were doing. (Don't look too close at my "curtains," the ones I've ordered haven't come in!) it's always fun and giggles when daddy gets home!

Warrior Dash 2011

Warrior Dash was by far the hardest, yet coolest thing I have ever done.  It was is a 5k with obstacles.  The obstacles were great and lots of fun.  I accomplished all of them......jumping over hay piles, old junk cars, tires, over and under walls and barbwire, 3 different climbing walls, cargo net climb, sliding down poles, jumping over fire, and crawling through a mud pit under barbwire!  It was actually the running that was the most difficult for me.  I am not used to running on dirt, bumpy ground, gravel, and grass.  It was very challenging for me and made me slow, slow.  Thankfully, Josh and I did this together so he kept pace with me the whole time.  I know he would have loved to smoke it and see how well he could do, but I'm thankful he stayed with me and helped push me along!  I earned my first medal.....but the coolest part was definitely the hat!!!!

Before......

After.....

All cleaned up (as best as we could)......

You could donate your shoes to people in need!  That's a big shoe pile!

Four.......More!!!!!

Apparently turning four does equal more in Baker's world because the child has partied like a rockstar.  Sept 5th marked the "beginning" of Baker's birthday celebration.  It has been a filled two weeks of parties at his Dee and Pop's house, school, our house, visiting Thomas the Train, spending the weekend with his Uncle Burt, and another family dinner with Nanny, Grandaddy, Papaw, and Aunt Brittany.  My oh my are we partied out!  Birthday....officially over!!!!!!!

On his actual birthday, we had a family party visiting Dee, Pop, Teck, and Greg.  Dee made Baker's cake just like he likes it.....chocolate with sprinkles!  Yes, he's a little rotten....especially when Dee is involved!

Baker had asked and asked for this present.  When he opened it, he just hugged it!
Baker with his great grandmother Teck (as we call her)

A few days later we had Baker's birthday at our house with his friends.  We, of course, had to have a Toy Story party.  So we decided to do a "Movie Under the Stars" Party featuring none other than Toy Story 2.  Why do specific you ask....bc Jessie was not in the first one, and we don't like the baby throwing the bear in the trash on the third one!  So....Toy Story 2 it is!  We love going to Movies in the Park during the summer, so we decided we are just going to start having Movies at the Watsons.  We ate cake, opened presents, then settled in for popcorn and a movie. I think both the kids and parents enjoyed it!  We can't wait to do this again!

Our big boy!  We love you Joshua Baker!!!!
Baker racked up in the Toy Story department!  I think we may should buy stock in it!

Uncle Burt and Breck spent the weekend with us for both Baker and the MTSU game.  Before the game we took the boys, sporting their MT shirts, to Thomas the Train.
We played trains! (and even stamped some)
We listened to stories and watched Thomas movies!
 We rode the small train!
And we rode the big train!!!!

The boys had a great time!  Mommy and Daddy, however, were pooped!!!!

I can't believe that Baker is four.  He has matured so much over the past couple of months.  He is becoming so kind and loving (from the child who has wiped away my kisses for the past 3 1/2 years), and even helpful!  He has a personality that could take down a room and a smile to go with it!  I love him so very much and am so thankful that the Lord blessed us with this little man!!!!

Embracing the rain....

Today the rain finally fell again.....and rather than being cooped up inside, I just felt the need to dance and play in it.  So we did!
