Our Big Snowfall

It was a pleasant surprise to actually get snow in Murfreesboro. This was probably our biggest snowfall in years....about 4-5 inches here. Friday was a great day for watching the snow fall, however, we did not play out in it due to late naps for the kiddos. When Saturday came, we still had plenty of snow, but it was blanketed with a sheet of ice. Not much fun for snow balls, snow angels, snowmen, etc. It probably would have been great....and fast....to sled on, however there is but ONE hill in Murfreesboro. It is around this time of year that my heart yearns for home....Signal Mountain. I have so many memories of the numerous snowfalls we would have and sledding on the hills that filled our neighborhood. Even if it did not snow much off the mountain, we ALWAYS had plenty up there. If I live in Murfreesboro my entire life, the true joy of a good snowfall and sledding will be something my heart regrets never getting to do with my boys. As you can see, we didn't have a sled so we improvised....with the wagon. The boys loved us pulling them all around the yard. You can see Caleb enjoyed his first snow (we didn't get him out in the last one)! The boys are getting so big, but I am loving getting to do all these fun things with them.

Baker is growing up so fast! He loves to sing...and is clearly full of himself!

Don't let this sweet face fool you...
Caleb knows how to break it down!

Snow Day...

As you can see, we finally got snow in Tennessee! Not much, but enough to enjoy! It flurried for days and days...which is really rare around these parts...especially this hole/valley known as Murfreesboro. It was so pretty! Caleb was napping or he would have taken part in the action!

A BIG Christmas

A man's blankie!!! (John Deere Tractor)

Where is Baker?

The Fam

Christmas at Nanny's

My little monkeys!

Christmas was very big and exciting this year! Baker loved tearing into his presents....however, I have learned that one or two big presents will suffice. He was a little overwhelmed...which in turn made Mommy a little on edge! Needless to say, we are all very blessed, not only with many material blessings, but with a wonderful family! These were just a few shots I wanted to share out of about 100.

Bath Time is so much fun now that Baker has someone to dump water on the whole time!!! (Yes....Baker's hair is ridiculously long!)

Just one reason you should never leave your child unattended in a bouncy chair.....on the kitchen table!!!!

What October was like for us....

October, in a nut shell, has been INSANE!!!! We have literally been busy every single weekend....so much so that I made the mistake of "thinking" to myself...."I can't believe I haven't gotten sick yet. I always get sick when I get run down." And yes....I am just recovering from strep throat. I made it to the first weekend in November. It really was only a matter of time. While October has been hectic, it has probably been one of the most fun months of my life. I have gotten to spend each weekend with a different set of our very best friends. From high school friends to college to church friends to family....it doesn't get much better than that. Here is a quick look into our world....

My high school reunion was a blast. I have been very blessed with seeing my friends over the past ten years, however, it was great to spend time with all of them at the same time. I think we should have our own reunion every couple of years.

THOMAS SHEDDAN GOT MARRIED!!! Could there be a better reason to celebrate! Little Moser! We spent a wonderful, memorable weekend in Memphis with some of our closest, favorite friends. Visiting with them makes me remember all the fun we used to have. I wish they were daily in our lives, but am thankful they are simply in our lives!!!

It is very rare to have friends in your life that truly know you inside and out. These girls were my joys, tears, laughs....my everything. They made me who I am today. I was so happy to get to spend Brandy's 30th birthday with all of them!

The Stewart cousins are my only first cousins. I remember growing up thinking how cool we all were. And now that I am grown up....we are still pretty darn cool. I love our uniqueness and yet the real similarities that we all display. We celebrated cousin Bill's wedding in the Blue Ridge Mtns at the Toccoa River.....could it be any more fitting?!

Halloween was a blast. Josh and I went as Al and Peg Bundy. Our community group at church had a Murder Mystery Party. I am NOT an actress by any means....and am very uncomfortable when I am in those situations. However, I found my role as the sassy, "forward" secretary who was having an affair with her dead boss and did not like all the other "young" actresses very easy to play. Not sure that that is a good thing! It was fun! We spent Halloween night with my family, trick or treating at Teck's. Baker loved answering the door! I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend Halloween.
